Your donation for the DRK

Every contribution counts and creates added value for people in need. There is therefore no minimum contribution that should be donated. You can decide for yourself how much you would like to donate to support our humanitarian work.

Our work would not be possible without your donation. Thanks to your contributions, we can provide targeted support to people in need and supply them with the most necessary relief supplies. This includes, for example, drinking water, food, shelter and medical care. In addition to humanitarian emergency aid, we also use the donations for long-term development cooperation in crisis-hit regions. You can choose which of our international aid projects you would like to support. In this way, together we can create new prospects for people in need.

You have various options for donating to the German Red Cross. For example, you can donate directly online using our donation form or make a bank transfer to our donation account.

Trust plays a central role for the German Red Cross. We therefore see ourselves as having an obligation to maximise transparency towards the state and society, particularly with regard to the people entrusted to our care who are in need of help. With this in mind, the German Red Cross has developed its own minimum standards for the organisation as a whole, which are implemented as part of a voluntary commitment. We have therefore developed comprehensive transparency standards. 

Every year, the German Central Institute for Social Issues (DZI) certifies that the guidelines for the voluntary commitment of organisations collecting donations are recognised as the basis of their work by awarding the GRC the donation seal. We are also a member of the German Donations Council. By signing a declaration, we undertake to comply with the basic values of the German Donations Council: transparency, security, credibility, ethical standards and accountability. In addition, the GRC follows the voluntary commitment of the Transparent Civil Society Initiative.

Furthermore, we fulfil the highest security standards for online donations. usd AG confirms with the PCI DSS seal of approval that the IT systems of the GRC e.V. have been checked in accordance with the security standard of the credit card industry (PCI DSS).
