Two children with Red Cross employees

The humanitarian aid of the German Red Cross knows no boundaries

We help worldwide - solely according to the level of need - in over 40 countries on five continents or sub-continents.
Whether in the event of natural disasters, famines, epidemics or armed conflicts - when people are in need, the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement takes action and provides vital aid abroad.

Together with the Red Cross or Red Crescent Society of the respective country, we determine on site what the affected people need most urgently. In this way, you can receive targeted and quick help, for example with drinking water, food, shelter and medical care.

In addition to humanitarian emergency aid, the reconstruction and strengthening of the resilience of crisis-ridden regions as well as long-term development cooperation and thus the creation of perspectives are important tasks and goals of our help abroad.
