The GRC

The GRC consists of the federal association, based in Berlin, state associations as well as district and local associations. International Humanitarian Law

The mandate of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement – hence the GRC – is to prevent and alleviate human suffering, protect life and health and to ensure respect for human dignity, particularly in times of armed conflicts. The dissemination of the rules of International Humanitarian Law is one of its main tasks.

GRC Tracing Service

The German Red Cross Tracing Service supports people who have been separated from their loved ones by armed conflicts, disasters, flight, displacement or migration. The Tracing service assists them to find their loved ones as well as reunite families.
