Alert4All was a research project for the pilot development of a pan-European early warning system - as a supporting software system for crisis management teams. The aim was to develop a solution for alerting procedures and to counteract "chaotic phases" during and after emergency situations.

Content orientation and results

Alert4All was a research project for the pilot development of a pan-European early warning system – as a supporting software system for crisis teams. It should improve the effectiveness of alerting and communication with the population during a crisis.

The project has helped to improve the effectiveness of alerting and the communication with the population during a crisis. Through this research project, the GRC has scientifically compiled initial findings on information needs of the population during a crisis.
